The 300cc adventure class is where many importers start their own ADV line: big enough for highway and touring, small enough for licence classes, tariffs and price points in most emerging markets.

Two kinds of bikes compete here. Branded models — rally-styled 300cc bikes from well-known Chinese brands — are sold through the manufacturer's own dealer network under its own name. Private-label models such as the YINGANG XR-4 are built for an importer and sold under the importer's brand. This guide compares the two on the numbers, then explains what private label changes for your business.

What the numbers mean on the road

  • Torque where riders use it. The XR-4 makes its peak torque 1,500 rpm lower. For loaded touring, steep gravel and two-up riding, low-rev pull matters more than peak power.
  • Peak power. The branded bike's liquid-cooled engine revs higher and makes slightly more peak power, which favours sustained high-speed highway use. The XR-4 can be specified with liquid cooling if your market needs it.
  • Adjustable seat height. Two seat heights (885 / 950 mm) let one model fit shorter riders and taller adventure riders.

Why private label instead of a branded import

A branded ADV is a good product, but the brand belongs to someone else. With a private-label XR-4:

  • The brand equity is yours. Every bike sold builds your name in your market, not the factory's.
  • Configuration per market. Engine 125–300cc, carburetor or EFI, air, oil or liquid cooling, ABS or CBS, luggage box, connected dash.
  • Supply mode per stage. CBU for the first containers (75 units per 40HQ), CKD as volume grows (90 units per 40HQ). See CBU vs SKD vs CKD.
  • One platform, a full range. The same XR chassis family covers 125cc to 300cc, so an entry model and a flagship can share parts.
  • Confidential by default. We never publish our clients' brands or partnership details.

FAQ

Is there a Chinese 300cc adventure motorcycle I can sell under my own brand? Yes. The XR-4 is built for private label: your logo, colors, configuration and packaging.

How does the XR-4 compare with branded 300cc rally bikes? The XR-4 has more torque (27.5 vs 25 N·m) at lower rpm; a typical branded rally bike has slightly more peak power (21 vs 19.5 kW). The main difference is commercial: the XR-4 carries your brand.

Can the XR-4 be liquid-cooled or fitted with ABS? Yes. Cooling, ABS/CBS, luggage and dash options are configured per order.
